Cloudflare is an awesome service, but it can be a bit intimidating to start using. If you’re new to Cloudflare, here’s what you need to do:

  • Sign up for Cloudflare. They offer a free plan with unlimited bandwidth and email storage that’s perfect for getting started with their services!
  • Enter your domain name (or subdomain), and click on “Add Website.”
  • Select whether or not you want SSL enabled by default, then enter the email address associated with this account into the field provided—you’ll see why we recommend selecting this option later on in this article!

You can change these at any time by going back to their website ( and clicking Manage under “DNS Management.” This is a good way to ensure that all of your visitors will receive secure connections regardless of whether they’re visiting from an iOS device or Android device because both Google Chrome/Chromium browsers have built-in support for TLS 1st certificates which means they won’t be able to connect directly but instead through HTTPS requests made by their browser against Cloudflare’s servers (which are secured via SSL).
